Pick the chip, then the platform.
Shop desktop processors in Kuwait from AMD Ryzen and Intel Core, from 8-core X3D gaming chips to 24-core Intel Core i9 and Core Ultra 9 parts for editing and rendering. Choose the chip for your workload, then build the platform around its socket.
How to choose a processor
- Workload: Games favour fast cores and large cache, which is where AMD’s X3D chips stand out. Video editing and 3D rendering scale with core count.
- Platform: The CPU sets the socket, such as AM5, LGA1700 or LGA1851, and the socket decides which motherboards and memory you can use.
- Cooling: High-end unlocked chips draw a lot of power under load. Plan a 360mm AIO or a large dual-tower air cooler for the top models.
- OEM or boxed: OEM listings come without retail packaging or a bundled cooler, so budget for cooling separately.

PROCESSORS FAQ
Before you buy.
Straight answers to the questions we hear most about desktop processors.
Intel or AMD: which processor should I choose for gaming?
Both make strong gaming chips. AMD X3D processors such as the Ryzen 7 9850X3D use extra stacked 3D V-Cache, which gives them a clear lead in many games. Intel chips like the Core i9-14900K and Core Ultra 9 285K have many cores and suit gaming combined with heavy editing or rendering.
What do the X3D, K and F letters mean?
X3D on AMD Ryzen chips means extra stacked cache that helps gaming performance. On Intel, K means the processor is unlocked for overclocking, as on the Core i5-14600K, and F means it has no integrated graphics, so it needs a dedicated graphics card.
How many cores do I need?
For gaming, 6 to 8 fast cores are plenty, as on the Ryzen 7 7800X3D or Ryzen 7 9850X3D. Streaming, video editing and 3D rendering use more cores, where 16-core chips like the Ryzen 9 9950X3D or 24-core Intel chips like the Core i9-14900K pull ahead.
Which motherboard and cooler do I need for my processor?
Match the socket: Intel 14th Gen chips use LGA 1700, Intel Core Ultra desktop chips like the Core Ultra 9 285K use LGA 1851, and AMD Ryzen 7000 and 9000 chips use AM5. Most unlocked K and X processors ship without a cooler, so plan a capable air cooler or AIO liquid cooler.
