How often should I replace thermal paste?
There is no fixed schedule. Apply fresh paste whenever you remove or reinstall the CPU cooler, and consider repasting if an older build starts running noticeably hotter. Quality compounds such as Noctua NT-H2 and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut or Hydronaut are easy to spread and work for CPUs and GPUs.
How much thermal paste do I need?
A pea-sized dot or a thin line in the center of the CPU is enough for one application, as the cooler's pressure spreads it. A 1g tube like the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut 1g covers a few applications, while larger tubes such as the Noctua NT-H2 10g suit builders who repaste often or work on several PCs.
Do I need a graphics card holder?
