Light panels or LED strips: which should I start with?
Light panels like the Corsair iCUE LC100 Mini Triangle Lighting Panels create a focal point on the wall behind your desk or on camera, while LED strips give soft ambient light behind a monitor, desk or shelf. Many setups start with one and add the other later.
Can my lighting react to music and sync with my other gear?
Within each ecosystem, yes. Corsair iCUE LC100 panels sync with other Corsair gear through iCUE, while Lian Li Strimer cables sync through Lian Li L-Connect. Music-reactive effects depend on each app, and keeping most lighting in one app makes scenes easier.
Do I need the LC100 expansion kit?
Only if you want a larger layout. The expansion kit adds more panels to an existing LC100 setup, so start with the Corsair iCUE LC100 Mini Triangle Lighting Panels and add the Triangle Lighting Panel Expansion Kit later. Both are controlled through Corsair iCUE.
What are Lian Li Strimer cables?
Strimer Plus V2 cables are addressable RGB extension cables that sit between your power supply cables and your motherboard or graphics card, turning the power cables into a lit feature. Choose the version that matches your connector, such as the 24-pin for the motherboard or a 12+4-pin version for graphics cards with a 12VHPWR connector.
