KEY LIGHTS AT AX

Good light fixes most cameras.

Shop key lights and desk lighting in Kuwait from Elgato, Razer, BenQ and ASUS ROG, from app-controlled LED panels for streams and video calls to monitor light bars for the desk. Light your face first, then add ambient light behind you.

How to choose a key light

  • Panel size: Smaller panels suit compact desks and close framing. Larger panels cover a wider area when you sit further back from the camera.
  • Position: Light from the front and slightly to one side removes harsh shadows. Avoid bright light sources directly behind you.
  • Colour temperature: Adjustable white light lets you match the room, so skin tones stay natural on camera.
  • Light bars: A monitor light bar lights the desk and keyboard rather than your face, so it complements a key light instead of replacing it.

KEY LIGHTS FAQ

Before you buy.

Straight answers to the questions we hear most about key lights and setup lighting.

Do I need a key light for streaming or video calls?

A key light is the main light on your face, and it often improves webcam image quality more than a camera upgrade, because cameras struggle in dim rooms. Panels such as the Razer Key Light Chroma give soft, even light with adjustable brightness and color temperature.

Compact or large key light: what is the difference?

A compact panel is smaller and lighter, which suits tight desks and close framing. A larger panel puts out more light and covers a wider area, which helps when you sit further back or light a bigger space.

Where should I place a key light?

Place it slightly above eye level and about 45 degrees to one side of your camera, angled down toward your face. For a more even look, add a second light on the other side or bounce one off a wall, and avoid bright light sources directly behind you.

What is the difference between a key light and RGB ambient lighting?

A key light lights your face with clean white light for the camera. RGB lighting such as Govee LED strips, Nanoleaf Lines light bars or a Govee floor lamp adds color and depth to the background and room. Many streaming setups use both: a key light in front and ambient lighting behind.
