CLOSED-BACK STUDIO MONITORING | BLACK EDITION

DT 770 PRO Black Edition: A Classic Monitoring Design

The beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO Black Limited Edition gives the familiar closed-back studio design an all-black appearance. This listing is the 250-ohm version, designed to work with a suitable studio headphone output or desktop amplifier.

Choose it for recording, editing and focused listening when you want closed earcups, replaceable velour pads and a permanently attached single-sided cable.

Explore the Features

DT 770 PRO Black Edition studio monitoring

FEATURE 01

Closed-Back Monitoring

The earcups provide passive isolation for recording and listening. They help contain the headphone feed when a microphone is nearby, though no closed headphone eliminates every trace of spill.

FEATURE 02

The 250-Ohm Version

Pair this version with a capable headphone output. Its requirements differ from the lower-impedance DT 770 variants; check your interface or amplifier rather than choosing by connector size alone.

FEATURE 03

Bass-Reflex Construction

The acoustic design supports extended low-frequency reproduction. Use familiar references when balancing bass so that the headphone’s presentation is a known part of your workflow.

FEATURE 04

All-Black Appearance

Black earcups and black velour pads distinguish this edition visually. The manufacturer describes it as a design variation of the classic DT 770 PRO, rather than a different driver family.

DT 770 PRO Black Edition black velour pads

FEATURE 05

Replaceable Velour Pads

The soft circumaural pads surround your ears and can be replaced as they wear. Fresh pads help preserve fit and the way the headphone seals around the ear.

DT 770 PRO Black Edition long-session comfort

FEATURE 06

Adjustable Spring-Steel Headband

The padded headband provides secure support. Adjust both sides evenly so that the earcups sit around your ears before starting a recording session.

FEATURE 07

Single-Sided Coiled Cable

The 250-ohm Black Edition uses a coiled cable attached to one earcup. Unlike the PRO X models, this cable is not a quick-detachable mini-XLR connection.

FEATURE 08

Made in Germany, Built for Maintenance

Replaceable wear components support ongoing use. Treat the fixed cable carefully when moving between workstations and store the headphone away from chair wheels.

Choosing Between DT 770 Versions

Compare this edition with DT 770 PRO 250 Ohm or DT 770 PRO 80 Ohm. Choose by source capability and cable requirements as well as appearance.

For a detachable cable and a lower-impedance driver platform, compare DT 700 PRO X. A FiiO K11 R2R desktop DAC and amplifier is another option to assess for your listening chain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which impedance is this listing?

This listing is the 250-ohm Black Limited Edition.

Is the cable detachable?

No. It is a fixed, single-sided coiled cable. The DT 770 PRO X uses a different cable arrangement.

Does it have a microphone?

No. This is a stereo studio headphone. Voice chat requires a separate microphone.

Is it the same as the DT 770 PRO X?

No. The PRO X is a different version with a different driver platform and detachable cable.

Are the pads replaceable?

Yes. The black velour ear pads can be replaced when needed.

Can it work from a phone?

A phone adapter may not provide enough output for this 250-ohm version. Use a suitable headphone amplifier or interface for dependable headroom.
