beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO MKII – 30 Ohm Closed-Back Studio Headphones

beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO MKII: Hear Your Recording Clearly

beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO MKII brings closed-back monitoring to recording, editing and focused listening. Its 45mm TESLA.45 driver system and 30-ohm design give you a clearly defined place in your audio setup: a private monitoring feed when recording near microphones or working around other people.

This page covers the DT 1770 PRO MKII 30-ohm model. Closed earcups reduce spill but do not provide active noise cancellation.

Explore the Features

FEATURE 01

Redesigned TESLA.45 Drivers

The second-generation driver uses a PEEK polymer diaphragm and an aluminium-coated copper voice coil. The design targets cleaner transient behaviour and reduced distortion for careful monitoring.

FEATURE 02

Isolation for Tracking

The closed construction helps reduce outside distractions and headphone spill. It suits tracking vocals, monitoring instruments and editing around other people.

FEATURE 03

30 Ohms for More Source Options

The MKII replaces the original model’s 250-ohm load with 30-ohm drivers. This makes source matching easier, while the quality of the headphone output still affects the listening chain.

FEATURE 05

Two Ear-Pad Choices

The supplied velour pads favour breathable comfort and the leatherette set provides greater external isolation. Choose the pad type that fits the recording environment.

FEATURE 06

Pressure-Relieving Headband Design

The memory-foam headband includes a central recess to reduce pressure on a sensitive area of the head. The flexible spring-steel support and replaceable pads make fit adjustments practical.

FEATURE 08

Made in Germany and Serviceable

The drivers are measured during production and assembled into a design using metal and durable plastics. Replaceable components support repair and continued use as wear parts age.

FEATURE 09

Keep Accessories Together

The hard case holds the headphone and its accessories for storage and transport. Keep both pad sets labelled so you can return to the same listening setup when revisiting a project.

Choose the Right Listening Setup

Connect to a suitable headphone output and begin at low volume. The 30-ohm load makes these headphones more practical with a wider range of sources, while output quality and available power still matter.

Check edits at a consistent listening level and compare familiar reference tracks. For microphone recording, route your monitor mix to headphones rather than loudspeakers to avoid feedback and reduce microphone bleed.

Compare Your Options at AX Store

For a different monitoring approach, compare DT 700 PRO X closed-back headphones and DT 900 PRO X open-back headphones. Match the earcup design to your room and recording workflow.

A dedicated source such as FiiO K11 R2R or FiiO K7 can be part of a desktop listening system. Check the output connection and headphone requirements before choosing.
