The Wave Mic Arm MK.2 ships ready for almost any desk and any microphone, with setup taking just minutes.

Inside the box: the Wave Mic Arm, a desk clamp (up to 60 mm), a riser extension for 150 mm of added height, 3/8" and 5/8" thread adapters, an Allen key, and a Quick Start Guide.

Will the Wave Mic Arm MK.2 fit my microphone?

Almost certainly. It has a 1/4" thread mount and ships with 3/8" and 5/8" adapters, covering virtually every USB and XLR microphone and shock mount. Just make sure your microphone (including any shock mount) weighs between 200 g and 1.2 kg.

Does it need a counterweight?

No. The spring-loaded internal mechanism balances microphones up to 1.2 kg on its own, so there's no counterweight hanging off your desk.

Is it really silent when I move it?

Yes. The refined joint mechanics eliminate squeaks and friction, so you can reposition the arm during a live stream or recording without your audience hearing it.

Will the clamp fit my desk?

The included desk clamp opens up to 60 mm (2.4 in), which fits most desks and tables. For flat wooden surfaces where a clamp can't grip, the Elgato Wave Desk Plate (sold separately) offers a flush mounting option.

Can I make it taller?

Yes. A riser extension is included in the box, adding 150 mm (5.9 in) of height for taller monitors or standing setups.

How is the MK.2 different from the original Wave Mic Arm?

The MK.2 has longer reach (950 mm horizontal vs. 780 mm), higher weight capacity (up to 1.2 kg vs. 1 kg), a full-metal build instead of metal and plastic, swappable snap-on hinge caps, and it's lighter overall at 1.8 kg vs. 2.23 kg.

Can I customize how it looks?

Yes. The hinge caps are removable and replaceable, so you can swap in different colors or patterns to match your setup. Replacement caps are sold separately.
