Customize RGB lighting, audio routing and mute behavior in the app. Save profiles for different activities so a gaming session and a voice-focused recording do not need the same mix.

Midas Mic Preamp with Phantom Power

GoXLR Mini accepts an XLR microphone through its low-noise Midas preamp. Onboard EQ, compression and gating give you control over tone, level variation and the microphone signal between phrases. Start with microphone placement and input gain, then adjust processing to suit your voice.

Both GoXLR Mini and the full-size GoXLR provide phantom power. The Mini is specified at +24V and the full-size model at +48V. Check a condenser microphone’s supported power range; do not assume every phantom-powered microphone accepts the same voltage.

For an XLR dynamic microphone setup, compare the RODE PodMic and Shure SM7B. Connect your chosen microphone with an XLR cable and select Dynamic in the app. These microphones do not require phantom power and are sold separately.

Check Your Connections Before You Buy

GoXLR Mini has one microphone path: a balanced XLR input or an unbalanced 3.5mm mic input. Plugging a microphone into the 3.5mm input disables the XLR input. The four mixer faders are controls for your audio sources, not four separate XLR microphone sockets.

A stereo line input, stereo line output and headphone output provide 3.5mm connections for monitoring and routing. The rear panel also has USB 2.0 Type-B for the computer connection and a Toslink optical input. The USB port is not a host for plugging in a USB microphone directly.

Set Up GoXLR Mini with Windows and OBS

1. Install and connect. Install the GoXLR driver and app, then connect the Mini to your Windows computer using the included USB cable.
2. Assign your applications. Route voice chat, games and music to the appropriate GoXLR audio devices, and set your microphone type and gain.
3. Choose your broadcast input. Select Broadcast Stream Mix in OBS and avoid capturing the same audio sources separately a second time.

For a dual-PC setup, the line output can carry the broadcast mix to the streaming computer. The line input can bring return audio, such as alerts, back into GoXLR Mini. Check the line connections available on both computers before planning the cabling.

The GoXLR App is required to operate the Mini. TC Helicon lists Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11, with no official macOS or Linux support. The Mini receives power through USB and does not require a separate power adapter.

GoXLR Mini Mixer vs Full-Size GoXLR

Choose the Mini for compact, hands-on mixing, routing and microphone processing. Choose the full-size model when your workflow calls for motorized faders, LCD channel labels, a sampler or creative voice effects.
