DJI FAQ

Before you buy.

Straight answers to the questions we hear most about DJI gimbals, cameras and wireless microphones.

Which DJI Osmo Mobile should I choose?

Every Osmo Mobile is a 3-axis smartphone gimbal that keeps handheld phone video smooth, and it works with the DJI Mimo app. The Osmo Mobile 7P bundles extra tracking features over the standard Osmo Mobile 7, and the Osmo Mobile 8 is the newest generation in the range.

DJI Mic 2 single kit or two-transmitter kit: which do I need?

The single kit (1 TX + 1 RX) covers one speaker, which suits solo vlogs and voice-overs. Choose the 2 TX + 1 RX kit with case for interviews or two-person podcasts, since both voices record through one receiver on your camera or phone.

Osmo Pocket 3 or a phone on an Osmo Mobile gimbal: which is right for me?

The Osmo Pocket 3 is an all-in-one camera with built-in 3-axis stabilization and 4K120 video, so you do not need your phone to shoot. An Osmo Mobile gimbal is the simpler step if you are happy with your phone's camera and just want smoother footage from it.

Do DJI wireless microphones work with both cameras and phones?

Yes. The DJI Mic receiver connects to cameras through a 3.5mm cable and to phones through a phone adapter, so one kit can serve both. Check that your phone's port matches the adapter included with your kit before you record.
