Check the Single-Sided 2280 Requirement
The cooler is specified for single-sided M.2 NVMe SSDs in the twenty-two-by-eighty-millimetre format. Check both the drive size and the component arrangement before fitting it. A double-sided SSD or a different M.2 length is outside the documented compatibility of this particular cooler.
A Front Cover and Backplate
The assembly uses a front cover and backplate around the compatible SSD. Together with the supplied thermal pads, they form the passive cooling arrangement. Follow the manufacturer’s installation method for the drive and cooler, keeping the SSD’s connector edge and mounting position clear for installation in the host system.
Two Minus Pad 8 Thermal Pads
The supplied pad set includes one Minus Pad 8 thermal pad at 0.5 mm thickness and one at 1 mm. These are the documented pad components for the cooler assembly. Use the correct pad placement and thickness from the installation instructions rather than adding arbitrary layers that could affect contact or fit.
A 4.2 mm M.2 Connector Height
The manufacturer requires an M.2 NGFF connector height of 4.2 mm for the intended installation. Check the motherboard or host layout and the space around the SSD location. An M.2 2280 label alone does not confirm that the socket height and surrounding component clearance match this cooler.
Passive Heat Dissipation
The cooler provides a passive heat-dissipation path for the compatible SSD rather than an electrically powered fan. Its thermal result depends on drive activity, pad contact and airflow around the installation. Plan the SSD location and normal case ventilation alongside the cooler, especially when nearby components create additional heat.

Use the Correct Drive Configuration
Choose a compatible bare single-sided SSD configuration and check for any factory-fitted or motherboard heatsink before planning the assembly. Do not assume that stacking coolers provides the required mechanical fit. Confirm the complete drive, connector-height and clearance requirements, then follow the installation instructions before returning the system to normal use.
