Thermaltake The Tower 500 combines a vertical motherboard layout with glass panels around three sides of the hardware. Two supplied 120 mm rear fans, modular panel access and several radiator positions provide the core cooling and installation arrangement.

The Case Design
Three 4 mm tempered-glass panels provide a panoramic view around the vertical hardware layout. The steel body measures 608 H × 388 W × 398 D mm. Choose the listed finish and leave room above and beside the case for the motherboard connections, panel access and cooling hardware.
Supplied Cooling and Lighting
Two standard 120 mm fans are supplied at the rear exhaust position, rated at 1,500 RPM. These form the factory rear cooling arrangement, while additional top, side, lower and PSU-cover fan positions can be selected around the build. Fan and lighting hardware should be matched to the components actually being installed.
Radiator and Fan Mounting
The right side supports a 360 mm radiator, with the documented maximum custom-radiator length of 399 mm. The top supports a 240 mm or 280 mm radiator, while the lower position supports 240 mm. Compare the complete assemblies and tube routes with the motherboard, graphics card and PSU-cover layout.
Component Clearance
CPU-cooler height clearance reaches 275 mm. GPU length clearance is 325 mm with the PSU cover fitted or 355 mm with it removed, while PSU length clearance is 200 mm. The case supports E-ATX up to 12 × 12 inches and the smaller listed formats, with the selected covers and cooling hardware considered together.
Access, Storage and Routing
The modular panel and bracket arrangement allows the internal hardware and cooling positions to be accessed during assembly. Storage can be configured with a mixed HDD/SSD arrangement or the documented eight-HDD alternative. Choose the drive layout together with the lower cooling and cable routes, as those parts share the available installation space.

Connections and Control
Front I/O provides USB-C, four USB-A 3.0 ports and HD audio. Removable panels and filtering provide access for cleaning around the case’s multiple intake paths. Route the power and signal leads around the chosen motherboard orientation and leave enough room for the display connections at the upper hardware area.
