What is the difference between RGB, RGBIC and RGBWW?
RGB strips show one colour at a time. RGBIC strips like the Govee H612A and H612C show several colours along the same strip for gradients and effects. RGBWW adds dedicated warm and cool white LEDs for cleaner everyday white light, as on the Govee Strip Light 2 Pro.
Do Govee lights need a hub?
No hub is needed for Govee Wi-Fi and Bluetooth lights; you set them up and control them in the Govee Home app. Wi-Fi models can also be controlled when you are away from home.
How does a TV backlight sync with the screen?
Envisual TV backlights like the Govee H605C and H6098 use a small camera on the TV to read the colours on screen and match the LEDs behind it in real time. Choose the kit that matches your TV size.
Can I use smart lighting for my gaming setup or stream?
Yes. Light bars like the Govee Gaming Light Bars Pro and floor lamps like the Govee Uplighter Floor Lamp add colour behind the desk or camera. To light your face on camera, a key light gives cleaner, even light.
Smart bulbs or LED strips?
Smart bulbs like the Govee GU10 bulbs and TP-Link Tapo bulb replace the bulbs you already have, with no installation. LED strips run behind a desk, TV or shelf for indirect ambient light.
