A Dedicated Studio Driver Design

The second-generation DT 1770 PRO MKII uses 45 mm TESLA.45 drivers, with a published response of 5-40,000 Hz. The driver design combines a lightweight voice coil and carefully developed diaphragm materials for detailed reproduction. Its closed arrangement combines detailed reproduction with the isolation needed for monitoring work and recording sessions.

30 Ohms for Your Monitoring Chain

This version has a nominal impedance of 30 ohms. The lower-impedance driver design supports a wider range of compatible playback outputs, from an audio interface to a laptop with a suitable headphone connection. It makes the headphones practical when moving between a fixed studio and another listening setup.

The Cable Arrangement for Your Workspace

Two detachable cable options are supplied: a 3 m straight cable and a 5 m coiled cable. A locking three-pin mini-XLR connector secures the cable at the headphones, while the stereo plug and 6.35 mm adapter support common studio headphone outputs. Choose the cable that best suits the reach and movement needed around your recording or editing position.

Comfort through Longer Sessions

Soft, circumaural ear pads surround the ears, while the adjustable spring steel headband supports a secure fit. The padded contact surfaces are intended for extended work at a recording or editing station. A fontanelle recess in the headband padding helps reduce pressure at the top of the head, and the ear pads can be replaced when needed.
