A 1.6-Inch Front-Firing Speaker

A front-firing 1.6-inch speaker provides the Echo Dot’s audio output. Use it for spoken responses and compatible audio services in the room. Position the front of the speaker toward the listening area and leave the sound path clear when arranging it beside books, displays or other objects.

Everyday Help from Alexa

Use Alexa for supported requests such as questions, timers and alarms, and to access compatible audio services. Available services and features depend on the account, language, location and connected subscriptions. Complete device setup through the Alexa app before choosing the requests and routines that fit the room’s everyday use.

Choose Regular or With Clock

The Regular version provides the compact speaker design, while the With Clock option adds a simple LED display. On the clock model, the display can show the time, temperature, timers and alarms. Select the required available model variation so the supplied device matches the intended bedside or desktop arrangement.

Tap to Snooze

The fourth-generation Echo Dot family includes tap-to-snooze operation for alarms. This provides a direct action at the speaker when an alarm sounds, making it useful where the unit remains within reach. Place it on a stable surface in a position that works for both listening and ordinary physical access.
