Xamp uses a discrete bi-amplified headphone design. A 1-ohm output impedance and support for 16–600 ohm headphones make the G6 suitable for a broad range of wired headphones.
The DAC delivers a 130 dB dynamic range and supports PCM playback up to 32-bit/384kHz in Direct Mode. DSD64 and DSD128 over PCM are also supported in Direct Mode.
Virtual 7.1, Scout Mode and Sound Blaster processing provide options for gaming audio. Direct Mode bypasses audio processing, so choose the mode that matches your listening session.
This model uses micro-USB for computer audio and power. Optical input supports Dolby Digital decoding. Xbox One requires optical audio and external USB power; voice communication is not supported on that connection.
Connect listening headphones to the appropriate front output and a compatible computer-style microphone to the recording input where required. A passive plug adapter cannot make an XLR broadcast microphone work as a powered headset microphone. Choose each cable around the actual analogue or digital connection.

Use direct stereo playback for an unprocessed listening path where the model supports it, or choose the available game processing for a different presentation. Virtual headphone surround, discrete speaker channels and optical encoding are separate functions, with their own software and platform requirements.
Check the actual digital or analogue input, headphone connector and supported operating mode. Choose the source, cable and headphone together; a headphone amplifier and a microphone recording interface have different jobs. Virtual surround processes the signal for headphone listening. It is distinct from the separate analogue speaker outputs available on X4.
These are gaming DAC/sound-card products with the listed headset or 3.5 mm microphone connections. They do not replace an appropriate XLR microphone preamp or phantom-power interface.

Direct Mode bypasses audio processing. Its maximum PCM format should not be combined with an assumption that every virtual surround or effect remains active.
