DT 770 PRO or DT 990 PRO: closed-back or open-back?
The DT 770 PRO is closed-back, so it isolates you from the room and keeps sound in, which suits recording, shared spaces and late-night gaming. The DT 990 PRO is open-back, with a wider, more natural soundstage for mixing, critical listening and single-player games, but it leaks sound and lets room noise in.
Which impedance should I choose: 48, 80 or 250 Ohm?
Lower impedance models, like the 48 Ohm DT 770 PRO X and DT 990 PRO X or the 30 Ohm DT 1990 PRO MKII, are easy to drive from a PC, console, phone or interface.
