KEYCHRON FAQ

Before you buy.

Straight answers to the questions we hear most about Keychron mechanical keyboards.

K, V or Q: which Keychron series should I choose?

The K series, such as the K8 Pro and the slim low-profile K1 Max, is built for easy wireless everyday use. The V series, like the V6 Max, gives a full-featured board in a plastic body, while the Q series, such as the Q6 Max and Q1 HE, uses a heavier aluminum body for a more solid feel.

What does HE mean on the Keychron Q1 HE?

HE stands for Hall effect. The Q1 HE uses magnetic switches that sense key position without physical contact, which allows an adjustable actuation point and rapid trigger for very fast key resets in games.

Which keyboard size should I choose: 100%, TKL 80% or 75%?

A 100% board like the Q6 Max or V6 Max keeps the number pad for data entry and work. TKL 80% boards like the K8 Pro and K1 Max drop the number pad for more mouse room, and the 75% Q1 HE fits the arrows and function row into an even smaller footprint.

Do Keychron keyboards work with both Mac and Windows?

Yes. Keychron designs its boards for both systems, with a Mac and Windows switch on most models. The Max models connect by cable, Bluetooth or a 2.4GHz receiver, and the K1 Max is also offered with an English and Arabic layout.
