ASUS ROG, TUF and Prime, MSI, Gigabyte AORUS and ASRock motherboards for Intel and AMD, in ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX, with DDR5, PCIe 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6E options.
Socket must match the CPU, form factor must match the case, then look at what you actually use: M.2 slots, rear USB, Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5GbE and VRM quality for high-end chips. ROG, TUF and Prime cover three price tiers.

MOTHERBOARDS FAQ
Before you buy.
Straight answers to the questions we hear most about PC motherboards.
How do I make sure a motherboard fits my processor?
The socket must match the CPU. Intel 12th to 14th Gen chips use LGA 1700 boards such as the ASUS PRIME Z790-P WIFI, while AMD Ryzen 7000 and 9000 chips use AM5 boards such as the MSI PRO B650-P WIFI. A newer CPU on an older board can need a BIOS update first.
What do chipsets like Z790 and B650 mean?
The chipset sets the board's features. Intel Z-series boards like Z790 support CPU overclocking on K processors, while Intel B-series boards suit locked chips. On AMD, B650 boards cover most gaming builds, while X-series boards add more PCIe lanes and connectivity.
ATX, micro-ATX or E-ATX: which size do I need?
The board size must fit your case. ATX is the standard for most gaming builds and offers plenty of slots. Micro-ATX boards like the MSI MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI suit smaller cases, while E-ATX boards such as the GIGABYTE AORUS Z790 MASTER X need a larger case with E-ATX support.
Does the motherboard decide whether I use DDR4 or DDR5 memory?
Yes. Each board supports one memory type, and DDR4 and DDR5 are not interchangeable. All AM5 boards use DDR5, while some Intel LGA 1700 boards come in DDR4 versions, so check the board specs before choosing a memory kit.
