HYPERX FAQ

Before you buy.

Straight answers to the questions we hear most about HyperX headsets, microphones and keyboards.

Which HyperX Cloud headset should I choose?

The Cloud III comes in wired and wireless versions and is a balanced all-rounder for gaming and chat. The Cloud III S adds Bluetooth for phones and other devices, and the Cloud Alpha Pro uses dual-chamber drivers for more controlled bass. For a lighter, simpler setup, the Cloud Stinger 3 is an easy pick.

Do HyperX QuadCast microphones need an audio interface?

No. The QuadCast 2 and QuadCast 2 S are USB condenser microphones, so they plug straight into your PC with no interface or mixer required. The QuadCast 2 S adds RGB lighting, so the choice mostly comes down to whether you want lighting as part of your setup.

Which HyperX keyboard size should I pick?

The Alloy Origins 60 is the most compact, leaving more desk space for wide mouse movements, while the Origins 2 65 adds arrow keys in a small footprint. If you need a number pad for work or numeric input, look at the Eve 1800 RGB.

Which software do HyperX products use?

HyperX gear is configured in HyperX NGENUITY, which handles RGB lighting, EQ, mic settings and key mapping on supported models. Many HyperX headsets and USB microphones also work plug-and-play without it, so the software is mainly for fine-tuning.
