ARTISAN NINJA FX Type-99 SOFT XL Gaming Mousepad – Matcha

ARTISAN Type-99 SOFT XL Matcha: Settle the Final Adjustment

The ARTISAN NINJA FX Type-99 is a control-focused cloth mousepad for players who prefer deliberate movement and pronounced stopping. This listing is the SOFT, XL, Matcha version: a 490 × 420mm surface with a 4mm cushion.

Choose it because you want that slower surface character, not simply because it belongs to the ARTISAN range. Your sensitivity, skates and pressure on the mouse all influence how a pad feels in use.

FEATURE 01

A Deliberate Surface Choice

Type-99 targets players who want more resistance and stopping control. It is worth considering when a faster pad makes small final corrections feel less settled.

FEATURE 02

SOFT Cushion

SOFT is the middle cushion choice in ARTISAN’s hardness range. How firmly you press changes your interaction with the surface, so compare with a relaxed grip before changing sensitivity.

FEATURE 03

XL Working Area

The 490 × 420mm footprint gives a defined mouse area without becoming a full desk mat. Measure usable desk space after allowing for your keyboard, monitor base and other accessories.

Type-99 or ZERO?

The ARTISAN NINJA FX ZERO is the more versatile starting point for buyers looking for a balanced cloth feel. Type-99 is the more deliberate control choice. Neither surface can guarantee better aim; choose the feel you can repeat comfortably.

SOFT, XL and Matcha are part of this exact model. Other hardnesses, sizes or colours shown in manufacturer photography do not change the configuration named on this page.

Build Around Your Actual Desk

A compact board such as the Wooting 60HE v2 Aluminium can free space beside the pad. If you need dedicated navigation keys, compare the width of the Wooting 80HE PCR Black before placing the mousepad.

When considering Superglide 2 glass skates, remember that a skate change also changes the contact with the pad. Test the pad with your existing mouse first so you know which part of the setup you want to adjust.

Keep Surface Feel Consistent

Use the pad on a clean, flat desk and keep debris away from the mouse feet. Small particles can change the feel of an otherwise consistent surface. Let a cleaned pad dry fully before returning it to the desk.

Avoid changing pad, sensitivity and skates at the same time. A familiar game or practice routine makes it easier to judge whether the Type-99’s controlled feel suits your movement.
