RØDE NT1 5th Generation
The RØDE NT1 5th Generation is a large-diaphragm studio condenser microphone that combines the traditional analog workflow of the NT1 with modern USB recording technology in a single microphone.
Its Dual Connect output provides both analog 3-pin XLR and digital USB-C connectivity, allowing the microphone to connect to an audio interface or mixer through XLR, or directly to a computer through USB.
A 1-inch HF6 cardioid condenser capsule, exceptionally low 4dBA self-noise, maximum SPL handling of 142dB, up to 192kHz digital conversion, 32-bit float USB output, onboard APHEX processing, and included studio accessories make the NT1 5th Generation suitable for vocals, instruments, podcasting, streaming, and studio recording.

Dual Connect: XLR and USB-C
RØDE Dual Connect technology integrates an analog 3-pin XLR output and digital USB-C connection into the base of the microphone.
Use XLR with a compatible audio interface, mixer, preamp, or console for a traditional analog studio workflow, or connect directly to a computer through USB-C for digital recording using the NT1's internal audio interface.
32-Bit Float Recording via USB
When connected digitally through USB-C, the NT1 5th Generation supports 32-bit float recording for compatible computer and DAW workflows.
The 32-bit float output is part of the microphone's digital USB signal path and is designed to capture a very wide dynamic range. This feature is not available through the analog XLR output.

32-Bit Float
Available through the digital USB-C output for compatible recording applications and DAWs.
Up to 192kHz
High-resolution digital conversion supports 48kHz, 96kHz, and 192kHz sampling rates.
4dBA Self-Noise
Exceptionally low microphone self-noise helps capture quiet sources with minimal microphone-generated noise.

1-Inch HF6 Condenser Capsule
At the heart of the NT1 5th Generation is RØDE's 1-inch HF6 true condenser capsule with a gold-sputtered diaphragm and cardioid polar pattern.
The capsule is internally shock-mounted to help reduce external vibration, while its side-address design is intended for recording from the side marked by the microphone's gold indicator.
20Hz-20kHz
The NT1 5th Generation covers the standard full-range audio spectrum from 20Hz to 20kHz.
142dB SPL
High maximum SPL handling supports recording both quieter sources and louder instruments.
Cardioid Pattern
The cardioid pickup pattern focuses primarily on sound arriving from the front of the microphone.
Built-In Revolution Preamp
USB operation uses the NT1 5th Generation's integrated professional-grade audio interface and RØDE Revolution Preamp.
The internal preamp and analog-to-digital converter allow the microphone to operate as a direct computer recording solution without requiring a separate audio interface when using its USB output.

Onboard APHEX Audio Processing
The digital USB workflow includes onboard DSP for APHEX audio processing, including compression, noise gate, high-pass filter, Aural Exciter, and Big Bottom processing.
APHEX digital processing is available at a 48kHz sampling rate and can be configured through compatible RØDE software.

Built for Studio and Creator Workflows
The NT1 5th Generation is suited to vocals and speech as well as acoustic guitar, piano, drums, percussion, podcasting, streaming, and broader studio recording applications.
Its combination of XLR and USB connectivity allows it to move between traditional studio systems and direct-to-computer creator setups without changing microphones.
Traditional Analog XLR Recording
Through its 3-pin XLR connection, the NT1 5th Generation operates as a traditional studio condenser microphone and requires P48 phantom power from a compatible audio interface, mixer, or microphone preamp.
The XLR output uses the microphone's pure analog signal path. Digital features such as 32-bit float recording and onboard USB DSP apply to the USB-C signal path instead.

Rugged Aluminium Construction
The NT1 5th Generation body is machined from rugged aluminium and finished for regular studio use.
This supplied version is the Black model, built and manufactured in RØDE's precision manufacturing facilities in Sydney, Australia.
RØDE Software Compatibility
The NT1 5th Generation is compatible with RØDE Central, RØDE Connect, and RØDE UNIFY for supported digital configuration and recording workflows.
Compatible Windows users can also use RØDE's NT1 5th Generation ASIO driver for supported USB recording functions including 32-bit float operation.
