Three Metres for the Audio Route

The three-metre cable gives a microphone or other suitable audio device room to sit away from the connected mixer or interface. Plan the route around the desk, stand and equipment, leaving appropriate slack at both ends. This is the three-metre version rather than the separate six-metre model in the same family.

RØDE specifies professional-grade Canare cabling for the XLR-3 family. The cable is intended for clean analogue signal transfer between compatible audio equipment. It forms one part of the complete audio chain, so source quality, input settings, gain and the connected devices still determine the recorded or reproduced result.

Neutrik XLR Connections

The high-quality Neutrik connectors provide the XLR connection at each end of the interconnect. Match the microphone or equipment output with the appropriate audio input and seat the connections fully. An XLR cable routes the signal; it does not replace a microphone preamplifier, audio interface or a USB connection to a computer.

Rugged Connectors and Strain Relief

The design includes rugged connectors and strain-relief sleeves for regular setup and cable handling. Hold the connector body when connecting or disconnecting the cable, and route it so that stand movement does not pull against a socket. Store the cable with a suitable relaxed coil between sessions.

No. It is an analogue XLR-to-XLR cable. A computer recording setup still needs a suitable microphone interface or mixer; choose phantom power where the microphone requires it.
