The spring-loaded aluminium arm supports a complete microphone and accessory load up to 2 kg. Multiple adjustment knobs let you set the recording position. Include the microphone and all attached mounting accessories when checking the load. Set each joint for the intended position and tighten the adjustment knobs so the arm stays where you place it during a recording.

Leave space for the XLR cable

The threaded extension adapter provides extra connector clearance for microphones such as Shure SM7B and SM7dB. Shure also lists MV7, MV7+ and MV7X compatibility. Fit the extension adapter where required to leave a clear connection path. The arm supports the microphone mechanically; gain, audio processing and the recording connection are handled by the connected microphone and audio equipment.

Route cables through the arm

A cable channel with eight clips keeps USB or XLR wiring organised. The desk clamp fits surfaces up to 55 mm thick and the arm rotates through 360 degrees. Microphone sold separately. Keep slack at the moving joints before fixing the cable in place. Check the desk edge, clamp contact and cable route together so moving the arm does not pull on the microphone connector or the connected audio equipment.

Choose a Stable Desk Edge

The desk clamp accommodates surfaces up to 55 mm thick. Check the actual edge and the space below it before mounting the arm, then secure the clamp on a stable surface. Keep the assembly clear of the monitor and other equipment throughout its planned movement.

Adjust the Position Around the Speaker

Spring-loaded articulation and multiple adjustment knobs help place the microphone close to the speaking position while keeping the desktop usable. Find the microphone angle first, then check the cable slack and arm clearance. This makes it easier to return to a consistent voice position between sessions.
