KINGSTON FAQ
Before you buy.
Straight answers to the questions we hear most about Kingston memory and storage.
DDR4 or DDR5: which Kingston FURY memory do I need?
It depends on your motherboard, since DDR4 and DDR5 use different slots and are not interchangeable. Kingston FURY Beast comes in both types, so check which memory your board supports before choosing a kit.
What is the difference between Kingston FURY Beast and FURY Renegade?
FURY Beast covers mainstream speeds for gaming and everyday builds, while FURY Renegade targets higher speeds, such as the 7200MT/s DDR5 kit, for enthusiasts tuning performance systems. Higher speeds need a motherboard and CPU that support them, usually enabled through a memory profile in the BIOS.
Should I buy one memory stick or a two-stick kit?
A matched two-stick kit, such as a 2x16GB set, runs in dual channel and performs better than a single stick of the same total size. For gaming today 32GB is a comfortable target, while 16GB still covers lighter use.
Which Kingston SSD fits my PC: KC3000, NV2 or A400?
The KC3000 is a fast PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive for games and heavy workloads, and the NV2 is a value PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive for everyday storage. The A400 is a 2.5 inch SATA SSD, a simple upgrade for older PCs and laptops without an M.2 slot.
