SENNHEISER FAQ

Before you buy.

Straight answers to the questions we hear most about Sennheiser headphones and in-ear monitors.

HD 660S2 or HD 660 S: what is the difference?

Both are open-back audiophile headphones from the same family. The HD 660S2 is the newer version, with a 300 ohm driver and a tuning that adds deeper bass, while the HD 660 S runs at 150 ohms and is a little easier to drive.

Do I need an amplifier for the Sennheiser HD 660S2?

At 300 ohms, the HD 660S2 benefits from a dedicated headphone amp or DAC/amp to reach good volume with control. Phones and laptop jacks can play it, but usually sound quieter and less dynamic.

Who is the Sennheiser IE 100 PRO made for?

The IE 100 PRO is a dynamic in-ear monitor for musicians, streamers and creators who need to hear themselves clearly on stage or at the desk. It blocks outside noise well, and its detachable cable is easy to replace.
